I have an idea for a play that’s based around an interactive machine-like set. It could be a flying machine, and each character has a different role in operating it. Etan suggested that if you have a play with a vehicle, you would expect It to land in different places.

I made these family-radials for our reunion this coming summer. It might go on t-shirts or mugs. The first is my initial attempt, and the second is an adjustment based on my mom’s feedback. I went for a funky starfish shape with sans-serif text. Mom specified thin elegant lines and the serif text.

On the train I had this thought: they should make it so that you can see the blurry colors of what someone is looking at through the transparent back of their phone. This would be similar to seeing the covers of books or magazines that people are reading.

I’ve made a calendar as a christmas gift for a few years. This year, every month has a different theme.
Do you get it? It was kind of a huge undertaking. I haven’t even sent them all out yet. Actually, I'm realizing now I left out some days in October. I also found out that February’s days of the week are wrong.

When it snowed on Thanksgiving morning, I attempted to build a perfect snow pyramid in the front yard. I ran out of snow & time so it didn't turn out great. It did last a long time. My mom has a picture of it if you want to see it.
On Christmas Eve I was on a drive with my sister and brother-in-law & stopped in a festive town somewhere in MA. We walked through a busy cafe, gift shop & liquor store. I came across a good stretch of blank snow and after considering what would be kind of funny I wrote “$ANTA”
In the snow last year I made a couple snow angels with friends on campus.

“Some notes on alternative genders:
Contrary to popular belief, you can't really choose an alternative lifestyle anywhere near as much as people think you can. Usually it just sort of happens. You can't choose your gender or sexuality any more than you can choose your sex or race (although I'm sure it would be fantastic if you could choose every aspect of your personality and body).
As someone pointed out to me a while back, you can transgress gender roles and stereotypes, but you can't transgress your gender. You do what comes naturally to you, and trying to choose to act a way that doesn't resonate with your gender can not end in happiness1. The only reasons for acting like you have an alternative gender are either confusion or actually having one.
Also contrary to popular belief, sex and gender aren't necessarily related. Sure, for most people, their sex and gender are both female, or both male. This isn't always the case though, and there are more than two possibilities for either. Intersexed people, for example, have bodies that are somewhere between male and female (or both). Their minds can still be male, female or neither, making them normal men, normal women or (shock, horror) normal genderqueers.
The main problem with writing about "alternative" genders is that every language I know of lacks the proper words to explain the concepts easily, let alone name any genders other than male or female.
Some people like to picture a scale, where you have male on one side, female on the other side, and a whole spectrum of in-between genders, well, in between.
Others think even this is too simplistic and prefer picturing a sphere, with many possibilities including a complete lack of male and female, large amounts of both, or something else entirely.
Personally I think it's easier not to think about the whole thing and just present yourself as you feel is right, without trying to work out which underlying gender caused you to dress a certain way or sit with your legs crossed or apart or whatever. Life's too short to overanalyze.”

In this instagram reel, a guy is beatboxing with a filter on. He could work a crowd on a sidewalk by faneuil hall. The filter is a voice-activated game where vegetables are traveling along a path. They have to be the correct vegetable to pass through each gate. In order to change to the vegetable you want, you have to correctly say the name of the vegetable.

Is it true you could get a virus on your computer just from clicking on some link? Even if you allowed the download to happen, wouldn’t you be able to just delete the file and never let it run?
As I write this there are five anonymous accounts viewing the document. I haven’t shared the link to that many people yet. Who are they? It’s kind of eerie. I saw one account with a profile picture of nyancat join then quickly leave. Tim said that they’re probably webscrapers. I feel like a whale parasitized by some barnacles in the vast ocean of the web.

This horned character was invented from some doodling while brainstorming logo ideas…
I made a mental note one day to draw a medical diagram. This is “blood flow in skeletal muscle.” My roommate is a pharmacist, we were talking to him about skin cancer, and at some point he described how blood goes through muscles. I was picturing that a muscle is like a blood-soaked sponge tightly wrapped in a bulging vein, which is like the casing of a sausage. According to the diagram I found, it looks more like a bundle of veins in a fiber optic cable.[c][d]
